MAKING EDUCATION
A PRIORITY
The Maryland Educational Opportunity Center, a federal TRIO program, is one of 139 Educational Opportunity Centers in the country. Since 1968, MEOC (formerly Direct Search for Talent) has helped thousands of participants who have enrolled in schools and have been awarded millions of dollars in financial aid, including grants, scholarships and loans.
- MEOC helps first generation college students, unemployed and low-wage workers, veterans, citizens returning from incarceration, citizens with former addictions, high school drop outs, and college students entering or continuing a program in postsecondary education.
- MEOC helps individuals exploring GED programs, workforce development training, license and certifications programs, associate, bachelors and master’s degree programs.
Eligible Participants
- Maryland residents nineteen (19) years of age or older
- High School Seniors
- Individuals interested in pursuing education beyond high school levels
- Individuals interested in pursuing GED
